Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 02/24/2019

Number: 1

Mild morning, happily singing in front of our house, then a cold wave & wind storm moved in...At best I can tell it was the "True Song". It automatically made me stop and smile (I was walking my dog) and there it was, up high in top of a tree across from my house. Then I felt sad because we had a storm warning for a cold front & high winds, which came through within a few hours. We have heard everything but the "Dawn Song" every month except January, maybe because we're close to a river.

It was about 9:00 am when this one was singing, I just thought it was happy with the hint of mildness. No sound of it since then but it's very cold here. Sunny day today though and the Cardinals are singing.

Editor's note: We have moved this report to Robin (FIRST Seen) since the robin was "tuning up" as hormone level rise rather than proclaiming territory which is meant to drive off other robins and a prelude to nesting.
