Sightings report image

Number: 20

I cut my Milkweed back for winter so haven’t had any over-wintering. Sightings have been plentiful for the last two days, they are nectaring.

Yes, 20 plus. I had as many as five monarchs at one time in the garden.
We had zebra wings too. They were around for two days and now gone.
I'm sure they were just passing through as they were nectaring on my tropical Milkweed and firecracker bush. No eggs at all. I have a unique location here, one block from Lake Monroe, and a mile from St Johns River. My lot is wooded with a high canopy and almost impossible to get a picture of them when they're in the trees with my camera. Located behind us is a forty foot wide strip of land, in its natural Florida state and we attract many different migrations.
