A wave of migrating robins appeared on March 1, 2019. They feasted on berries and the evening was filled with song. As of March 7th the wave of robins continues to be observed in the common behind our home.
On the 5th, I placed many bird baths out for them. An entertaining bathing session ensued.
The singing is glorious and the other resident birds are quite annoyed.
(I raised two robin nestlings in my life. They have the most interactive personality of bird species!! Very conversational bird! The robin I raised in 2013 returned in 2014...then, I moved.)
I have lived here five years and have never seen this migration occur before.
