I noticed this small flock of robins Friday evening, just before sunset. They were feeding on the ground, eating deciduous holly berries, looking under the leaf litter for bugs, etc prior to roosting for the night. And, they must have checked the weather report, because on Saturday there was an all-day rain, quite heavy at times, with a substantial wind. My 3.6 acres is quite full of various trees and shrubs, so they had a good amount of cover for the storm. Although, during the periods of lighter rain, the robins were the only birds out in it at they feeding stations and checking the leaf cover in my asparagus patch.
