Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 02/22/2019

Number: 30

We have seen 30+ Monarchs over the course of approximately 3-4 weeks. When I see the butterflies, I get so excited that I don’t even think about taking a picture...too much in the moment I guess! So... no pictures at this time. I’ll try to send some next time we see them and have more to report. They move around so quickly that I’m not sure I can get a good photo of them!

We have many Monarchs visiting our yard each day for the past 3 weeks or so. We also observed a just hatched
Monarch a week or so ago. We still have numerous unhatched chrysalis around our yard. We are greatly increasing our milkweed plantings in hopes of attracting even more Monarchs... by increasing their native habitat and food source.
