Milkweed (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 03/14/2019

Number: 1

I finally found some small milkweed sprouts of our native Asclepias viridis. Unfortunately, this is all I could find with diligent looking. I am sure more will be up soon, though the weather is to turn colder again for the next few days. Glad the monarchs were here today and hope the milkweed catches up to them! Luckily, the nectar flowers and flowering trees are blooming, so the monarchs are able to get nourishment.
