Heard the robin doing his peek-and-tut and whinny yesterday evening. Then this morning I heard him doing his territorial song. This may be the earliest I have heard it. -1C no wind, heavy frost. Ground is thawing; found a hibernating earthworm while attempting to dig in the turf yesterday afternoon. Frost in the soil at about 5 centimetres down.
