Sightings report image

Number: 1

While on vacation in California on March 7th, we visited the San Diego Botanical Garden in Encinitas. It was early in the afternoon on a mild sunny day and as we were about to leave the garden I noticed a lone Monarch fluttering about. It was not nectaring at the time, but just looking for a nice spot to take a little rest. It was thrilling to see a Monarch on the west coast while on vacation as I live in Michigan.!
