After seeing waves of Robins for a few weeks which I reported, we now have one Robin that is in our yard and crab trees. I think it is a male, bright colored and fat.
This Robin was singing weakly in the tree yesterday. Doesn't sound like the territorial song. The same Robin today is on the ground looking in the grass but it is too cold yet for worms today. We did see one worm a few days ago though. Temperature today 35 degrees at this time of morning, 9:35 p.m.
Supposed to get up to 40 degrees today.
As far as I can tell the Robin I heard was singing the True Song. I see in the information
that is a territorial song. I am very glad to learn what is was. The Robin in our tree on that day
was declaring his territory. He was doing it a little softer than on the recording but that is the
song that he was singing.
