Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/25/2019

Number: 3

We witnessed a female Monarch depositing eggs on some A curassavica stems that were a week past budding out. This afternoon we checked the first four stems and found three 1st instars plus signs of larval activity on the fourth. The late freeze set everything back a bit but nature is catching up quickly.
