Swamp milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) shoots about 1 cm tall growing in a moist portion of my garden. I checked 4 other individuals of the same species, but they had no shoots yet. Also checked three Asclepias tuberosa plants in my garden; their shoots were still embryonic and underground.
