Hundreds od cedar waxwings gathered on trees on our property. They left in larger groups to fly northward. The first gathering was the largest with several hundred birds leaving together. Other smaller groups gathered and left throughout the morning. When the cold front arrived around 2 pm, they hunkered down in the pecan trees and did not leave.
