We've had feeders up in one part of our yard for over a year since we've moved here, but we mounted a new feeder on the back side of our lot 4 days ago and apparently it was just in time to catch a passing 'swarm' of Annas and Allen hummingbirds. We already have year-round Rufous so this sudden swarm of 30 to 40 hummers at one feeder was a 1st for us. They emptied the feeder twice in less than 2 hours and moved on.
