Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 04/01/2019

Number: 1

This was a chilly day, staying around 50 degrees F, and cloudy. I was only home for a short time today, so if monarchs were around I didn't have the opportunity to observe them.

Around noon I did see one male monarch fluttering over the lavender Lyre-leaf sage wildflowers in our back yard. As I briefly went out to watch, he mostly seemed to be resting, trying to catch any radiant rays on this cool, cloudy day. This is a photo of him as he nestles amidst the flora.
