Suddenly, the trees were really loud with bird calls (not territorial sounding, which we had heard EARLIER this week), and the trees were just full of robins. This morning, I had noticed only the quiet and an occasional cardinal song, and this afternoon it was just constant noise, with lots of birds. Robins were coming to my window, eating cashews and dried mealworms. The abruptness of their arrival was startling, especially since it had seemed that we had quite a lot of robins all winter, but this was a huge increase.
