I don't know how relevant this is, but this morning my male robin began calls at 5.04 am, and true song at 5.50 am. I note this because it's a full 25 minutes earlier than yesterday, and it seems to coincide with the fact that the female finished her nest yesterday. I haven't seen them copulating yet, but I'm certain they have been.
I'll have to see just how soon she lays that first egg. I don't remember noting such a leap in morning calls and song so quickly before--though I may have simply been remiss.
I'll keep you updated!
