Observed 28 monarchs at Grandview Prairie on Saturday, April 6th. Most were male and feeding on rose Vervain growing along the sides of the road. Most were in about the same condition as the one in the picture - we did see two that were much brighter in color. We were there for about an hour before the storm front moved in and it started raining. Still did not find any signs of milkweed but it should begin to start to appear very soon - thanks to some warm days recently.
