Now, in past day and the present time, 11th. April it is still colder here than normally seen for April.

Maple sap is running but even days are cool with sleet and even snow showers in the region.
farther north around the great lakes and east, winter is still strongly present as Dr. Aborn writes with two feet of snow cover in areas.

Birds are being seen and heard but one senses there has to some confusion. Some of our Maple varieties are also now well into the budding process. Spring is close but not here yet.
