Expert birdwatcher Doug McRae of Brighton, Ontario, reported that the first barn swallow was spotted on April 8th near the canoe launch on Price Street in the small community of Gosport, near Brighton, Ontario and just west of Presqu'ile Provincial Park.

Back to cold temperatures here for the past 2 days - temperatures just above freezing. Hope this early barn swallow survives.
