Last winter (2017-2018) was much milder than this winter (2018-2019). We had ice for less time, and ice out was February 25, after some unseasonably warm February days.
This winter, 2019, I'm happy to report that we have ice for much longer, due to colder temperatures in January and February. Ice out in 2019 was March 24, and for some weeks we had 6-8 inches of ice. Ice fishermen were happy.
