Weather 14C, a few degrees above normal highs for this time of year. A few small snow mounds remain but mostly the ground is just damp with puddles in lower parts of yard. Two chickadees are gathering branches to build a nest in the birdhouse where they build every spring. They take turns watching out while the partner brings twigs from nearby fallen branches. Meanwhile the first mourning cloak butterfly flies by.
