12:00 noon. Flying low to ground. Monarch faded but seemed to be in good shape and determined to seek, find, lay egg and move on. Overcast day here, 63 degrees, south wind 17mph. Gusts 28 mph. Tallest milkweed sprouts in my garden area are 5.5 inches.
