Sighted the first male and female Calliope this morning around 10:00 am. Included is photo of the female. This is a little later than usual, but not surprising given the severe winter they had on the coast to the west of us. We heard people were putting heat lamps on their feeders in Seattle and Portland to help the little guys through the extreme cold and snow.
