They were two separate pairs of males and females, about 15 feet apart. In each pair the females were hopping forward with the male coming up beside from behind. There was no touching. They were eating from our lawn in the suburban back yard, mostly grubs but sometimes worms. They were near old wheat stalks on the ground, which they used to make nests last year.
