Saw this very old and faded girl laying numerous eggs on emerging sprouts of milkweed. I was at Greenscape Gardens, a local nursery known for their love of monarchs, and this milkweed was planted on the property. I shared this photo with the garden center owner, and she was so happy that she announced the first sighting of a monarch for 2019 over the PA system! All the customers and employees started clapping!
