I had just written an email to a friend saying that, although orioles had been reported in this region, I hadn't seen any yet, when I heard that distinctive call from my deck area. I ran outside and there was a brilliant male oriole checking out my suet feeder. I don't know if he found the nectar feeder yet, or the oranges. It's too cold and wet for me to sit outside and wait for him to come back, but I will be listening for his return. -- Happy in West Amherst, NY
