(2) beautiful deep black & orange, vibrant-colored male orioles, and (4) females observed at 10:25am, outside the kitchen window at the suet basket.
One of the female orioles flew to the front lawn feeder with the (2) grape jelly cups, but didn't eat.
The (2) males flew back and forth, eating every 15-20 min at the suet feeder with "nut & Fruit" flavored suet. They are very hungry.
My neighbor said her (3) orioles - (2) males and (1) female - were not eating the grape jelly, either, but have been feasting on tree buds. (flowering tree?)
