Hummingbird, Other Observations

Date: 05/02/2019

Number: 1

male Ruby-throated Hummingbird sighted on one of three feeders at 7:01am as I was making the rounds of changing out cold feeder mixture with warm. He came out of some dense evergreen hedges sat and drank for about 30 seconds and then flew off in a northeastern direction. I presume he overnighted in the evergreens. temperature at the time was 50 degrees with cloudy overcast. Winds were out of the ESE at 3mph. Light showers predicted later in the day. No further hummer sightings at feeders the rest of the day so again assuming this male was also a northward migrator.
