Signs of Spring

Date: 05/06/2019

Number: 1

Native dogwood trees are starting to bloom in the forest, and the “Juvie” squirrels made their first appearance yesterday. Thus far, there are 12 juvies exploring and playing in the lawns and habitat surrounding the house.

As of today, the “youngster population census” looks like this:
4 baby fox squirrels, 4 baby black squirrels, and 4 baby greys. There may be more in other nests (?)

The red squirrel has been busy creating chaos with the new youngsters. We haven’t seen any red squirrel babies (yet)
