Spotted first larvae on April 26, 2019. It's been hard to keep count since that time, but today (May 9) I counted 35 cats. Plus, a few days ago, I gave 10 cats to a friend in another town as she was doing a presentation on monarch metamorphosis. All my caterpillars have been on common milkweed except for two found on a scrawny butterfly weed in the same garden area.
