While surveying 120 acres within the Adaptive & Integrative Management (AIM) teams pollinator restoration site on Fort Hood, two AIM biologists observed roughly 50 Monarch butterflies. Observations were made between 10:30am and 2:00pm. The preferred nectar source was Texas Thistle. At least five pairs were seen mating.
