Signs of Spring

Date: 05/10/2019

Number: 1

Our forest is filled with the sweet songs of Rose Breasted G Beaks, and cardinals. Tit Mice are singing "Peter-Peter-Peter." There are 4 orioles enjoying nectar from old hummingbird feeders (without bee guards) and jelly. The frog's chorus resides in the background. Our first female RT hummingbird appeared at a feeder at 7:40 pm. In the pastures dandelions bloom, bunnies jump, and there were dragon flys and tiny lavender / blue butterflies. The wild honeysuckle has beautiful green leaves, but no flowers yet. When the honeysuckle starts to bloom along the north creek, our Orioles will spend most of their time in the honeysuckle.
