I was out in the garden on my hands and knees doing some weeding when I heard a familiar buzzing behind me. Such a joyous sound of hummingbird wings after such a long winter. The male ruby throat, in stages, slowly dipped down to drink from 2 hyacinth flowers about 2 feet away from me. They weren’t out in full bloom yet so I imagine there wasn’t too much nectar as he didn’t stay long. And my presence was obviously not a big threat to him.
