I moved a couple of miles from my former gardens and am now in a second story condo on the water. I put the HB feeder out a few days ago and was so surprised to have a female and a male Ruby-throated.

My new "garden" will be on a second floor deck. Tomorrow we will put up a second feeder and I will shop with my son and SIL for Fuschia and other flowers to entice them. The female accesses the feeder from under it--and when she finishes, she goes back down to a small bushy tree below. Maybe a nesting spot?
