Brilliant color flitting through my yard this warm, sunny afternoon.
I was astonished too, but I do believe that I saw a Monarch. I know it was not any of the other butterflies you mentioned; I'm familiar with them and don't believe I'd mistake them for a Monarch. I didn't have a camera close by, and it was in the yard for a very short time. But it was large, very bright orange and black, and flew in a flitting kind of path. Milkweed is up about six inches here, but I don't see any eggs yet. Since Monarchs have been sighted in Ohio and the Chicago area, it's entirely possible that winds have brought some into this area already.
