Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 05/08/2019

Number: 15

While collecting milkweed leaves for the indoor-reared monarch caterpillars, I saw at least 15 monarch larvae. They ranged from 1st instar to 5th instar, with most being newborns. I also saw some monarch eggs on the milkweed. This is a photo of a 5th instar contentedly munching on a lovely milkweed plant (Asclepias viridis).
