Three male monarchs emerged from their chrysalises today. They were all released this afternoon, taking off on their first flights quite quickly on this warm, blue-sky afternoon. This gorgeous fellow took a few moments to adapt to the sunny outdoors and get his bearings, before fluttering upwards and away ~ just beginning his journey north!
