Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/16/2019

Number: 1

Between 1530-1630 hrs I saw a female three times at the feeders. I have 6 feeders out. I believe it is the same female who was "The Boss" last year. I named her 'Xena" because she would fight ANYTHING. She put the run to everyone! She followed the same flight pattern and went to certain feeders and then would take a hard left into the cedar hedge, just like last year. It is cold and damp, frost warning tonight. I don't know how she made it, there is nothing in bloom other than my tulips and some dandelions. She must be reliant on feeders. I hope it warms up soon.
