Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/18/2019

3:15 pm A gorgeous day & I just saw my First of Season Monarch!! No pic but tried hard.
I was sitting on our back deck just waiting & watching ....lots of Red Admirals today & Ladies (Painted or American) when....from the SW.....a Monarch appeared & quickly flew 10' from me NE over our roof......quicker than I could yell M O N A R CH! And I did... as I grabbed my cams (from table beside me) & ran to the front of the house. Could not locate it. It was on a mission!
There's no mistaking the size of a Monarch compared to the other species I've seen today.
Clear blue sun shiny sky & 18°c/64°f in the shade. Much warmer in the sun. Going out on the hunt again!!
