Monarch Waystation #271 reports a 5th instar larva sighted in the front yard on Purple Milkweed. Photo caught it about to notch the leaf to drain it of sap. It later was seen on the flagged leaf munching away. Found as I was weeding, did not do a diligent search for other larvae, let nature take its course.
