A brightly colored Monarch (Texan?) came & visited the milkweed in our front yard about 4:30 this afternoon. Quickly visited a number of milkweed plants. Seems to have left about 10 eggs. One each on two and two eggs on each of four plants. Then quickly moved off in the direction of Chicago. It left before I could retrieve the camera from inside the house, leaving me to photograph the eggs
