Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 05/21/2019

Number: 1

This one was behaving like a combative male. Mississippi Kites have returned from migration, too, so don't know how this will work out. Notable about the Kites--one yearling kept coming back and when he did, the clan came back after him and corralled him out of the area, to the delight of the Orchard Oriole that usually tries to drive them off from this prime nesting area. I'm guessing one too many Kites ate one too many monarchs.
