Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/22/2019

Number: 1

Mid-day, wind out of the NW, 68 degrees, many dragonflies, painted ladies flying... then first sighting of Monarch Butterfly flying due North. Our milkweed is about 12" high at this point on the barrier island. This is the earliest in 15 years I recall seeing a Monarch in May.
