At approximately 3 pm, a friend and I were driving out my half mile road when at about halfway, I saw the monarch. Startled my friend ehrn I yelled, "MONARCH!!!" so she saw it also. So excited! Was not able to identify if male or female but it was rather vivid. Will check the young milkweed tomorrow for eggs.
