Hummingbird, Other Observations

Date: 05/26/2019

Number: 1

I had been monitoring the Ruby Throated migration north. The last week of April I put out my Nectar feeders. A few days later I saw a Hummer hovering near the feeders. The weather got quite cool and I didn’t see any Hummingbirds. On May 15, 2019 a Black Bear coming out of hibernation attacked all our bird and squirrel feeders, so we took them all inside. On May 24, 2019 we returned the feeders during daylight hours, and the Hummers returned.
