Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/27/2019

Number: 7

Found on 6 different plants, 2 eggs on one plant. My common milkweeds up here in the southern UP are only 2-3" tall, but usually this late in May they are around 8-12" tall. My guess is that the combination of cooler temperatures and wet rainy weather have slowed their emergence and growth. Same for my other native perennials - their blooming is about 2 1/2 weeks behind normal.
