I've been seeing Monarchs here just outside of Austin in Hudson Bend since mid March. Did have over 100 caterpillars who ate all my milkweed, so I relocated them all to Antelope Horn Milkweeds in a nearby field. Saw this female yesterday, May 26. Not laying eggs.. Just resting late in the afternoon.
