Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 05/28/2019

Number: 1

Hi! I am not sure I am on the right page to post this, so please bear with me. My daughter rescued a robin from her schoolyard today. After doing some research online, it seems to be right at the point of almost being a fledgling. It is not hopping around or moving much, but it has a lot of feathers, although they are not fully grow in yet, and it is a good size. After doing the research, I am realising that it may not have needed to be rescued after all, since the mother was possibly nearby (there were adult robins in the area) . My question is, this bird is already settled in the spend the night at our house, but should I take it back to where we found it tomorrow? Will the mother recognise it as her own and resume feeding it?
