Milkweed Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 05/31/2019

Number: 1

We have over 200 milkweed plants mostly common with a few of the swamp variety. The tallest is 2ft while the smallest is one inch. This is early in the season for us. I anticipate more shooting through in the coming days as the soil warms up.

We had the earliest sighting of a Monarch at our Waystation today also. She was hanging aa bit not laying eggs.

I’m not sure this fact is related to the fact that our Milkweed plants have tripled in quantity so far this spring.
