I found 6 monarch caterpillars on Swamp milkweed in the monarch waystation we recently constructed at the Briggs Animal Adoption Center. Two were in the second instar, and 4 were first instar. These are my first sightings of monarchs this year. I have yet to see a monarch butterfly.
